Since I was a kid, I've kept this notebook that is just full of inside jokes among friends. I always loved going back and reading through them. One afternoon I sat down to turn that experience into a mobile app which ended up being a ton of fun for my college friends & I. 

The UI has little nuances that I really enjoy. If a quote is posted at night, the background is black. During the day, the background is white. I also am particularly drawn to the classic, serif typeface which I just don't think we see enough of on mobile these days.
